SSC CGL Exam Syllabus and Study Notes
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination every year to recruit candidates for various Group B and Group C posts in government departments and ministries. Tier 1 Syllabus

English Comprehension:
This section tests the candidate’s ability to read and understand English passages. The topics covered include grammar, vocabulary, sentence correction, etc.
Tier 2 Syllabus
The Tier 2 exam is a descriptive type test consisting of two papers: Paper I and Paper II. The syllabus for each paper is as follows:
Paper I: This paper tests the candidate’s knowledge of English language and comprehension. The topics covered include essay writing, letter writing, precis writing, etc.
Paper II: This paper tests the candidate’s knowledge of mathematics and statistics. The topics covered include arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, data interpretation, probability, etc.
Tier III Syllabus: The Tier III exam is a descriptive type test consisting of an essay and letter writing in English or Hindi. The topics can be related to current affairs, social issues, or general interests.
Tier IV Syllabus: The Tier IV exam is a computer proficiency test consisting of three parts: Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and PowerPoint. The candidate must have basic knowledge of MS Office to clear this exam.
